Wow. Yet another amazing piece of work. I like how the red contrasts with the muted colours of the foreground. And of course, your bold treatment of the bicycle is stunning. Great work.
Very striking painting. The red is dominant, but doesn't overwhelm the bicycle and foreground. I think we all read your previous post, but maybe couldn't come up with a title. All that came into my head was "Calm Reflections". Have you seen the titles of my paintings? Mine are so non creative, I hesitate to offer names for others :)

Wonderful painting. STriking combo of red and white. How did you do the spokes of the wheel? Is it gouache? It seems lovely.

ReplyDeleteSo now I know the reason why you didn't suggest a title :)
Sometimes I just get stumped for an apt title!
Thanks Vinayak!! Yes, I used opaque white for the spokes.

ReplyDeleteBut what does "stick no bills" mean? What does that phrase on the wall refer to?
The fire-reds and other warm tones just 'pop' in this painting!

ReplyDeleteDean,
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for your kind words! In India, 'stick no bills' generally means that one shouldn't stick any posters on wall :)
