Happiness

This is a portrait of my sister's father-in-law. As usual I was attracted by the light falling on the face and the resultant depth.I must thank my nephew for taking such a nice photograph!
I have left the white of the paper to show through for the light, carefully painting around it.

    This is a beautiful portrait. I love the lights and how you played up the dark background. You are great in doing these portraits. I am working on it. lol

    Very nice portrait, full of animation and life! The dark blue receding into the mauve in the background is perfect. Also, I like how you have incorported the background colors on the face which brings it all together.
