My trip to Goa

Hi...its been so long ( I always say this, he he...) So I'm back from Goa after participating in the India Art Camp, organized by the Camel Art Foundation for the winners of the All India Art Contest 2013. The camp was for 7 days in which the first 4 days included a workshop by well known installation artist, Dr Subodh Kerkar. The last 2 days was for sightseeing. Since this was the time of the monsoons, there were pre monsoon showers and some of the beaches were closed. This was the first time I had been to Goa so I didn’t mind the weather…he he! Made some good friends too. The participants were from all parts of India so it was a wonderful experience.
Now looking forward to making some paintings of Goa from my photo references. In fact, I’ve already finished one! Will be posting it soon.

Ending 2013 on a good note

Hi friends! Wanted to share some good news -
Firstly, my painting titled 'Blue Bicycle' has been awarded the best entry in the professional category in Camel Art Foundation's All India Art Exhibition 2013.

 'Blue Bicycle'

Secondly, my painting titled 'In the Spotlight' has made its way to the finals of The Art Society of India's Annual Art Exhibition 2013. Keeping my fingers crossed! Best part is that it will be displayed in one of the most prestigious galleries of India - the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai!
Also, my entries for the 'World Watercolor Competition' has passed the first stage of judging. Now for the stage two!

'In the Spotlight'

And last, but not the least, is that 2 of my paintings were acquired overseas this month - 'Varanasi Vista' in the UK and 'The Chaiwallah' in the UAE. I would like to thank all my buyers for showing interest in my works and supporting my art!

I wish all my Christian friends a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year 2014 :-)
