Kanishka

Acrylic on Canvas Board (10" x 12")

This is a portrait of my cousin's daughter.I painted this last year on her first birthday and gifted it to her.Small babies are so difficult to photograph.I constantly took so many shots. This one came out nicely which I then used for reference.

  4. I agree with Ajay. It is tough to paint babies and children and get the proportions correct. You have such a gift for painting children (and all subjects) with such skill and spirit.

  7. Adorable! And you are so right about painting babies, which makes me appreciate this all that much more. I like the broad strokes of color you've used around the child as well. Very grounding and artfully done. There's something about it that reminds me of a Masters painting style.

  10. Your cousin's daughter is painted beautifully. She is just adorable and her eyes have such a lively expression. I think these type of portraits are extra special because she will appreciate it even more as she gets older.
