Waiting for passengers, Howrah

Just before Diwali, I had made a short trip to Kolkata. This is the first one I painted from my reference photographs...more to follow :)

  1. I am sure you have a nice stack of references and we are going to see a lot more of Kolkata.Do the hand pulled rickshaws still run there? Because they come to my mind whenever Kolkata is mentioned...this painting is great ,too.Gives a feel of life- early morning sunlight and he is getting ready for his day; beautiful.

      Yes, the hand pulled rickshaws are still there and so are the trams! You may see them in my forthcoming paintings :)
